Are we allowed to meet with the venue staff during the planning?
We always love seeing our clients and hearing how plans for your event are going! We are happy to set up appointments for you to come by the venue to discuss layout, logistics, and other details. We allow two planning tours after the contract is signed. If you need more than two planning tours, each additional tour will have a $25 fee associated with it.
Is there extra time for setting up, breaking down, or loading out?
Venue rental times include setup and breakdown time. Load in and load out time must be included in the requested event booking time. The entire time that the client will be using the space must be applied in the total time request. This includes all cleanup. Cleanup is to be completed before your venue rental time expires. Additional time will be charged at $400 per hour. A $250 cleaning fee will be applied if cleanup does not meet these standards.
What are the client’s cleaning responsibilities?
The venue is to be left in the same condition as when you entered the space (or as close as possible). We have a cleaning crew who will sweep, mop, and clean restrooms. If they have to do anything outside of those tasks, the client shall be responsible for the cleaning fee. A $250 cleaning fee will be charged if the venue is left excessively dirty.
Is there a deposit required?
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to book and hold a date. The remainder of the rental fee and add on items are due the day before the event. No booking will be deemed complete, nor a date reserved, until the deposit is received.
What is the earliest we can set up and the latest we can be at Edison Square?
Edison Square offers great flexibility on the start and end time for your event. Your rental can start as early as 7:00 AM and end as late as 1:00 AM. At times, we can accommodate for earlier start times and later end times depending on our cleaning and setup schedule.
Is there on-site parking? Will guests have to pay to park?
Edison Square has more than ample parking for your special day! There is limited street parking in the front of the venue and a parking lot located behind the building off of S. Puget Sound Ave. Parking spaces from the flower pot dividers over to the green building are available. The majority of the spaces are marked as reserved, but they belong to us here at Edison Square and Theory Real Estate. Please let your guests know this ahead of time. At the end of the evening, guests can leave their car if needed. We just ask it be removed early the next day.
Is the rental fee cheaper if we book a weekday or an off-season date?
